BREAKING NEWS: Israel Orders Evacuation of Rafah
The evacuation is estimated to take about two to three weeks, and it will take around six weeks to clear out Hamas in Rafah
Israeli officials have ordered the evacuation of Rafah, a clear step towards the aggression against the civilian population. The evacuation order is a fig leaf that the Israelis use to justify their slaughter of innocents by saying, we tried to get them to leave. However, evacuation from Rafah is impossible. According to the Israelis, Hamas’s last few battalions are concentrated in Rafah, including most of Hamas’s Gaza based leadership. It is also alleged that most hostages are in Rafah, so the goal of this invasion will be to free hostages and defeat Hamas.
The evacuation portion of the offensive is expected to take one to two weeks, after which the Israelis will invade. During this portion of the operation, Israel and it’s allies will do everything in their power to prepare world opinion for the atrocities we are going to see. By suppressing Al Jazeera, they are attempting to prevent live coverage of the invasion according to NBC.
It is worth noting that the Israelis have drawn down the number of units in Gaza from 4-1. This puts the unit entering Gaza at extreme risk of being surrounded and cut off. Hamas and it’s allies are still active in all parts of Gaza, and are able to regroup whenever the IOF turns it’s back. So their is a strong likelihood that this invasion may result in heavy IOF causalities. Whatever happens, the battle for Rafah will be a grueling slog through on the most crowded and well defended places on earth. It may well be the first battle of World War 3.
political notes:
All Eyes on Rafah, make sure to keep clear timelines of this aggression. If it is impossible to live stream from inside Rafah, we must make sure to watch every other source of information. Remember, history will judge us all and it is our job to make sure that no one forgets what Israel did! If Israel wants to stand alone, let them be isolated from the community of civilized people’s for 100 or 1000 years!
Continue mobilizing, continue with disruptive acts and develop a culture of collective risk. As the semesters end, the campus occupations must be taken up by forces outside of the universities. Set up new encampments and other dual power institutions in your area. Wherever you are, even if you are alone if you support Palestine begin educating yourself and building local connections. If you can’t do anything else, you can organize a vigil for Palestine. Learn the names of those killed, and light a candle for them in a public place then read the names. If you never perform another political act in your life, let it be this one.
